Road-map
Approach.
To implement and deliver 3 with a non-technical background, I offer the following to explain the approach. To skip the academic rhetoric below, jump to Stage 2 - Foundations.
'In 'physical Architecture', we have the benefit of conveying a projects vision through physical models or rendered digital models. Done well, these tools are able to convey aesthetic experience and functional design simultaneously and holistically.
We do not have this advantage when it comes to 'digital Architecture'. UI templates and UX prototypes can only get us so far; as they are only able to focus on a 'local' experience (that of a screens state in a singular moment along a defined journey) and not holistic intent or purpose.
Leveraging my knowledge of physical builds, 3 has been split into five stages of implementation:
Environment,
Foundations (previously referenced as phase 1),
Structural elements (previously referenced as phase 2),
Weather proofing (previously referenced as phase 3), and
Landscaping.
Analogy.
'Let's build capitals dream home!'
I'd wager, if you described your dream home to ten different people and then asked them to either sketch you a picture or build you a model, you'd get ten very different results.
Sometimes, the only way you're going to share a vision is to realise it yourself - first!
Keeping to the dream home analogy, here are the five stages of 3's implementation:
Stage 1. Environment.
Any Architect worth their salt will tell you the importance of understanding a projects site and environment before concept and design development can begin.
'3 follows the same logic. It's vision was born from the understanding of new technology (crypto) set in the geopolitical context of the 2020's.'
Stage 2. Foundations.
Previously Phase 1, the goal was quite simply the means to enter and exit an ecosystem, able or at least positioned to defend against 'usurpation', with a few key internal features that facilitate the transitions of entry and exit.
For details, see: 'Stage 2 - Foundations'.
3's foundations were deployed after our initial audit in November 2024.
'The challenge I found describing the value of such an undertaking has been akin to me taking you to a plot of land I bought where the foundations to my dream home were going in.
We can walk the grounds, we can even talk the plans, but without a lot of imagination, grasping the vision as I understand it is going to be a challenge.'
Stage 3. Structural elements.
Previously Phase 2, the goal here is to build out the core functionality to facilitate 3's primary utilities: asset management, market health and reserve management.
For details, see: 'Stage 3 - Structural elements'.
Currently under construction. Expected pre-audit delivery: January 2026.
Returning to my build site, now with the foundations, walls and floors in, I expect a conversation about my vision for the property to become easier to grasp. Still, as wonderful as it may all sound and as easy as it might be to grasp how each 'room' will be used, it is unrealistic to expect very many (myself included) to want to remain very long at the site.
Similarly, I expect Stage 3 deliverables will attract more DeFi Native interest (our primary target audience), than any other audience we're planning to targeting.
Stage 4. Weather proofing.
Previously Phase 3, our plan is to expand upon our utilities by adding 'incubators'. Incubators bring new product offerings aligned to our second target audiences. Governance will also be a focus at this stage.
Details will be posted on 'Stage 4 - Weather proofing' when available.
'A house but not yet a home; 'weather proofing' describes the state when all doors, windows and roofs are installed and signed off. The property is not complete but it is now 'inhabitable'. Often marking the transition from 'Architecture' expertise to 'Interior Design' expertise.'
'Visiting the property in this state requires far less effort by way of explaining its vision because the experience of being there does most of the work.'
Pivoting to 3. Marketing and Community building become higher priority once Stage 4 implementation begins.
Stage 5. Landscaping.
Unplanned but actively being discussed at the time of writing. Stage 5 focuses on access, delivery and partnerships to serve each of our target audiences: Natives, Culturalists and Normies.
Details will be posted on 'Stage 5 - Landscaping' when available.
'The vision finally speaks for itself, landscaping the surrounding grounds now act to enhance the qualities of the home and provide experiences when entering or leaving its presence.'
Translating this to 3, we may add a mobile app, build new areas for the primary site and possibly even assist with access via partnered portals. Nothing is certain at this time.
