GuildLocks
The PACT Access Interface
Introduction:
GuildLocks (L.O.C.K : Liquid Option & Commitment Key) is the interface for acquiring a 3Pact, a governance-aligned utility position within the 3 ecosystem. Holding a 3Pact aligns a participant with the long-term operation of the protocol and its mechanisms for distributing ETH.
How to Acquire a 3Pact
There are three distinct paths to acquire a 3Pact, designed for different participant strategies.
Convert a Startup Token (PRIME3/ALPHA)
This path is for participants who hold PRIME3 or ALPHA tokens. These tokens can be converted directly into an Aged 3Pact, activating the associated utility rights within the system. Learn more: Startup tokens
Mint with GUILD
If you hold GUILD, you can use 10,000 GUILD to mint an Aged 3Pact. This action involves depositing the GUILD into a designated protocol module. Learn more: Pact Minting
Acquire with crvUSD
This path allows a participant to acquire an Adolescent 3Pact directly for 10,000 crvUSD. This option includes a mechanism that returns a portion of the crvUSD to the participant over 12 months. Learn more: Pact Acquisition
Adolescent vs. Aged 3Pacts: Protocol Status
Adolescent 3Pacts:
Are associated with a 12-month crvUSD return mechanism.
The associated 10,000 GUILD unit allocation is minted and deposited upon conversion to an Aged 3Pact.
Do not currently qualify for protocol ETH distributions.
Aged 3Pacts:
Are linked to a vesting schedule for 10,000 GUILD units.
Immediately qualify for potential protocol-generated ETH distributions.
Activate the full suite of utility rights associated with the position. After the 12-month period, an Adolescent 3Pact can be converted into an Aged 3Pact.
Utility of Holding a 3Pact
Protocol Alignment: Each 3Pact is algorithmically linked to 10,000 GUILD units, which vest according to the protocol's schedule. The system's Settlement Pledge establishes a foundational valuation parameter for GUILD within the protocol's internal logic.
Potential for ETH Distributions: Holders of Aged 3Pacts may receive pro-rata allocations of ETH generated by the protocol's autonomous operations, distributed via the Creditors Purpose-Oriented Distributor (POD). These distributions are a function of system performance and are not guaranteed.
System Participation: The GUILD units linked to a 3Pact contribute to the protocol's internal liquidity mechanisms, which are designed to support future system modules.
Governance Priority: The protocol's design includes a mechanism where unclaimed governance weight (VW3) can algorithmically increase the ETH allocation to the Creditors POD.
By acquiring a 3Pact, a participant chooses to align with and participate in the long-term operational mechanics of the protocol.
