Architectural Adaptability

Core Concept

Composability is a design principle for the 3 ecosystem's modularity. It utilizes specialized, interoperable components rather than a monolithic structure. This creates a flexible architecture where new modules can be added and existing ones can evolve.

Key Mechanisms: A Modular Governance Structure

The protocol employs a layered, module-specific governance structure:

  • Grove Interaction Governance: Holders of 3Receipts can participate in processes related to the parameters of Deposit Pools, which affect their direct interactions with those modules.

  • Guild Interaction Governance: Holders of 3Pacts can participate in processes related to the spending parameters and budgets of the Guild's modules.

  • Reserve Governance: Stakers of the 3Fi token participate in governing high-level protocol parameters, such as asset whitelists and strategic direction.

  • The Legends Role (Planned): A limited, planned role (Legends) is designed to serve as a security mechanism. This role would hold specific capabilities, such as pausing governance processes under defined conditions, and would interact with a dedicated module.

This structure is designed to align governance participation with specific areas of protocol interaction.

System Outcome

  • For a Participant: Enables engagement with governance processes relevant to their specific interactions with the protocol.

  • For the Protocol: Creates a modular governance structure where influence is distributed across different participant groups with distinct interests. This design aims to mitigate single points of failure in governance.

Composability is a principle for building an upgradeable, modular system where governance is distributed across its components.
