PODs
The Value Allocation Hubs
What is a POD?
A Purpose-Oriented Distributor (POD) is a dedicated channel for allocating the ecosystem's surplus value to a specific, vital function. Think of them as the arteries of the protocol, carrying life-sustaining capital (in the form of ETH), from the Distribution Engine to the organs that need it to thrive.
PODs ensure that value is not dispersed aimlessly but is strategically targeted to maximize its impact on the ecosystem's health and growth.
The Core PODs
The ecosystem is supported by a set of foundational PODs, each with a clear mandate:
Developers POD: Funds ongoing protocol development, security audits, and core innovation.
Creatives POD: Funds marketing, educational content, and community growth initiatives.
Creditors POD: Distributes yield to 3Bond holders, directly rewarding the capital providers who ensure system liquidity.
Reserve Booster POD: Strengthens the protocol's sovereign backbone by directing ETH back into the Protocol-Controlled Reserve Vault.
Liquidity Booster POD: Enhances market stability by allocating ETH to bootstrap and maintain deep, protocol-owned liquidity in external markets.
How Are Funds Allocated?
The allocation of funds is not fixed. It is dynamically governed by the community. Holders of governance power (VW3 tokens) stake them directly into the PODs they wish to support. The Distribution Engine then automatically allocates surplus ETH to each POD in proportion to its total staked VW3.
The Future: An Open Ecosystem
This POD framework is designed for expansion. The long-term vision is to open POD creation to the community, allowing anyone to propose and bootstrap new initiatives, from grant programs to specialised sub-economies, that can be funded directly by the Distribution Engine. This will transform the protocol into a self-funding platform for decentralised innovation.
This model ensures that capital continuously flows to the areas the community believes are most critical for long-term success.
